Claire Adams, Branch Owner

 

I am qualified with a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing 1993-1995 and have trained as a Midwife at the University of Hertfordshire in 1997-1999.

I started out my career at Tinies as a Childcare Consultant back in January 2000, and have been responsible for launching and establishing franchises in the Home Counties. I have a staff team of 11 to help support and manage our daily operation.

I now own and run 5 Tinies Franchises acquiring my first franchise in May 2004 with Tinies Hertfordshire. I went on to buy Tinies Buckinghamshire in June 2006 and then in May 2008 I bought Tinies Berkshire Nurseries. In May 2009 I took over Hampshire & West Surrey leaving my most recent acquisition for 2010 to be Tinies Dorset, making me the single largest Tinies franchisee in Tinies history.

We believe Tinies' Vision is to provide the very best nannies and childcarers to our clients, and to be trusted to deliver on that promise. In addition, we must influence and shape the future of the childcare industry.

Helen Jones, Creche Operations Manager

 

I joined Tinies Childcare in 2008. I am qualified with the NNEB and have worked in various childcare settings both in the UK and overseas. Working for Thomson, one of the largest Tour Operators, gave me the opportunity to develop the children's clubs in both Greece and Tunisia.

I have since worked in the Aviation industry for 8 years, managing and developing teams all over the world from as far afield as Lapland, Jamaica, The Far East and many destinations in America, in handling our aircraft, customer service, organisational skills and providing a seamless journey for all passengers. The many experiences and situations I have encountered, have put me in good stead for my present role here at Tinies.

I am responsible for managing the daily operations of Tinies Mobile Creches and Children's Clubs in Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire/Berkshire/Essex/Hampshire & West Surrey. Liaising with hoteliers, wedding planners, event coordinators, county councils, children's centres and future clients is a huge part of my role. I ensure that we provide a creche that is tailor made to your requirements. Tinies will transform any venue into a children's wonderland, providing any theme for the day and a fun packed entertainments programme that all the children will enjoy. With my experiences of organising children's club activities overseas and also within a nursery setting I feel I have the knowledge and expertise to fulfil this role and assist all future clients.

Louise Trew-Smith, New Business Development

 

I joined Tinies Childcare Bucks in April 2008 as Nanny/Nursery Consultant. I qualified in 2005 from Aylesbury College with DCE Diploma in Childcare and Education and have always enjoyed working with children from a young age. I have nearly 3 years of childcare experience, 18 months within a Nursery as Nursery Nurse/Room Leader and 12 months as a Nanny caring for 3 children.

In the summer of 2009 I managed the Berkshire Nurseries branch of Tinies and continued to do so until May 2011, when I decided to expand my career in the commercial education sector and joined Randstad Education. As a Senior Recruitment Consultant at Randstad I gained a valuable understanding of what clients require from their temporary and permanent education staff in order to provide the best education services possible across my dedicated region.

I returned to Tinies in January 2012 to take on a new business development role, developing the Nursery and commercial side of the business for Tinies Herts, Bucks and Berks. As a company Tinies are committed to being the preferred supplier for all of our childcare clients, and I will continue to provide a professional and personal service for this new business role covering the three franchises.

I will strive to provide and excellent service and to assist all clients every step of the way during your search for quality childcare.

Robyn Skinner, Nanny Consultant

 

I joined Tinies Bucks in 2010, after 6 months of working for the agency as a temp nanny/nursery nurse. Prior to that I worked as a sole charge nanny for 5 years and studied towards my Certificate in Children's Services in Melbourne, Australia, which I achieved in 2006.

I believe this helps me to have the knowledge to understand the needs and requirements of finding high quality childcarers for prospective parents and will strive to provide an excellent service, assisting clients every step of the way during their search. I was born and raised in South Africa, where I completed a BA (Hons) in Psychology in 1993 before travelling to the UK in May 1994.

In addition to my childcare work I have also worked for major companies such as Royal Mail and American Express as a PA and within the sales support/administrative departments. Whilst living here I have travelled around Spain, Portugal, New Zealand and Australia, visited a variety of European cities as well as regularly visiting friends and family back home in South Africa. The many experiences and situations I have encountered throughout life have put me in good stead for my present role here at Tinies.

Lauren Young, Childcare Consultant

 

I joined Tinies Bucks/Berks in 2011 after setting up my own business running a bridal shop in Ascot since April 2007. I qualified from East Berkshire College in 1996 with my NNEB and went on to achieve my NVQ Level 4 in Early years Management in 2002.

I have just over 8 years experience of working within childcare, 5 of which were spent in nurseries where I started as a nursery nurse. I was keen to progress and have always enjoyed working with children from a young age enabling me to work my way up the nursery ladder quickly to become a nursery manager before embarking on a career as a nanny of 4 children.

Whilst working within the day nurseries I managed staff and dealt with recruitment on a daily basis, therefore have good knowledge of Early Years establishments and have gained a valuable understanding of what nurseries require from their temporary and permanent staff in order to provide the best childcare services possible.
