Nannying jobs with Tinies nanny agencies

The full time live out nanny role is on the decrease, with more demand for part time nannies. If you need to work 4 or 5 days a week, then consider taking on two part time roles to make up the hours. The more flexible you are in your approach to what nanny jobs are on offer, the easier it will be for you to find work.

Live in nanny jobs

Live in nannies normally work an 11-12 hour day, Monday to Friday, together with 2 nights babysitting included.

A live in nanny can be in sole charge of the children and you would normally perform "nursery duties" i.e. doing the children's washing and ironing, keeping their rooms tidy, clearing away the toys, cooking for the children and clearing up in the kitchen afterwards. Most nannies should not do extra domestic duties, as they are primarily childcarers.

If you're interested in finding a live in nanny job, send us your CV.

Live out nanny jobs

Live out nannies normally work a 10 hour day, Monday to Friday.

A live out nanny does not normally do babysitting unless this is agreed in advance, and this should be paid as extra.

As a live out nanny you can be in sole charge of the children and normally you would perform the same "nursery duties" as a live in nanny (i.e. washing and ironing, tidying their rooms/toys, cooking for the children and washing up afterwards).

Maternity nanny jobs

Tinies has a dedicated Maternity Nannies & Nurses service that helps parents find maternity childcare and helps you to find maternity jobs in the UK.

Our maternity jobs include maternity nanny, maternity nurse, night nannies and doulas. We also welcome specialist maternity nannies, with specific skills in caring for babies and toddlers.

Mothers' Helps jobs

A Mother's Help can be live in or live out. You do the same sort of hours as a nanny however the difference between Mothers' Helps and nannies is with a Mother's Help job you don't have enough experience yet to be left in constant sole charge of children.

Mother's Help jobs tend to suit someone who is newly qualified or who does not have much experience working with children.

You normally work alongside the mother, caring for the children. You are not a cleaner, and so are not expected to do household duties, but you may be required to do light duties such as the family shopping, or loading and unloading the family washing. These duties should be discussed in advance with you.

Nanny Housekeeper jobs

Finding a nanny housekeeper for their family is an increasingly more common request from parents.

Funnily enough, this combines the role of a nanny with that of a housekeeper. Being a nanny housekeeper requires you to do household duties, such as shopping, cooking and light housework.

It's most common that parents with older children (who are at school) will want to hire a nanny housekeeper.

Proxy parent jobs

This job is where a nanny will take full 24 hour responsibility for the house and children whilst parents are away on business or holidays.

Babysitting jobs for nannies

Many experienced Tinies nannies will also work as an emergency nanny, or as a babysitter (especially when they're looking for a nanny job).

It most cases babysitting jobs involve a childcarer looking after children for a short time in the evening, in their own home, while the parents are out. Babysitting jobs can also be at a hotel where a Tinies agency has built up a local babysitting service for parents.
