Job Description
Qualified Nursery Practitioners who are NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent required to work in this Nursery based in Stokenchurch
The Baby Room
The staff in this room have the maturity and instinctive warmth to form close links with each baby's needs. The babies have their own playroom, milk station and changing/rest area. Soft toys, play, cuddles, stories and walks all form part of the babies day. Carers encourage babies to explore the world of colour, shape and texture and help them in their first steps towards language development.
The Older Baby Room
For the 1-2 year olds, walking and talking opens a whole new world. The discovery of new sounds and objects, drawing, experimenting with paint, sand and water and learning to share with others will all be encouraged. Ride-on toys, construction and many other activities are provided.
The Toddler Room
In the happy and fun atmosphere of the Toddler Room, with a vast range of activities and the company of their friends, children can begin to learn independence and increase their knowledge of the world. Painting, singing, memory games, numbers and letters are introduced to form the foundation for Pre-school work. In the Toddler Room the staff encourage children to develop a love of books, stories and playing musical instruments.
The Pre-School
In the Pre-school years, children's concentration increases and they are ready to respond to the challenge of teamwork and group activites. The Nursery's priority is to make learning a fun, exciting and enjoyable experience.
The extensive range of educational equipment and toys are chosen to develop language, intellect and imagination. The independent Nursery Teachers and education programme teaches children the principles of reading, writing and arithmetic and prepares them for the transition to school, working on all elements of the Early Years Foundation stage and Montessori techniques.
