It is an excellent way to develop your career. Designed in partnership with the National Day Nurseries Association, it teaches you how to apply for quality assurance schemes and how to prepare for the most stringent of statutory inspections. It examines these across a range of settings. The course is theoretical and practical. Assignments focus on real-life situations like preparing for an inspection in two month’s time. You will learn about managing staff before, during and after the inspection process. You will also learn how to analyse your own and your organisation’s training needs, so that you can develop training programmes. By the end of the course, you will have gained the skills to raise the quality of practice in your workplace! What's involved? Course Content: | This qualification provides learners with the skills and knowledge needed to manage practice and lead others in adult health and social care provision or in children and young people’s services. It has six pathways - three for those working with adults and three for those working with children and young people - and covers a wide range of topics including:
The Management pathways are most suitable for Assistant Managers and Deputy Managers working in day or domiciliary services who are looking to progress their career. It is also appropriate for Managers who have not yet achieved a vocational qualification at this level. The Residential Services pathways are aimed at learners in similar job roles as those taking the Management pathways but the focus is on management and care in residential settings. The Advanced Practice pathways are geared towards senior practitioners who would like to develop their career but wish to remain active practitioners within the management framework.
