Coronavirus - COVID-19

As with any health concern, we want to ensure we are minimising the impact and reducing the possibility of exposure in appropriate ways within our offices, for childcarers who are working on assignments in nursery settings or in families homes and who may also be supporting back-up care bookings.

As with any health concern, we want to ensure we are minimising the impact and reducing the possibility of exposure in appropriate ways so we have outlined some information below relating to the Coronavirus COVID-19 and the steps that can be taken to protect yourself and others.

As per the Government guidelines, in-home childcare professionals can provide childcare support at private homes. See more information about local COVID-19 guidelines following the links below.

Anyone providing in-home childcare should follow the Work Safely in homes Guidelines.

We're continually monitoring the situation so that we can keep all our teams, families, childcarers and partners well informed about any new safety measures at all times. Families and childcarers will also receive complementary safety guidelines from heir local branch when making a placement.

We follow guidance from the relevant Public Health organisations as well as the World Health Organisation and local health authorities. You should follow the latest guidance from the government in relation to social distancing here. Please note that in the event of new COVID variants emerging you should always consult with the government guidelines as isolation periods and government guidance can change.

Please note that if an individual or your child has symptoms of COVID-19 and you are either working on an assignment or due to go on an assignment for Tinies to support a key worker or are being or going to be supported by a Tinies nanny please contact your local Tinies Consultant to inform them at the earliest opportunity. You should follow the latest guidance from the Public Health organisations in relation to self isolation here.

If you are registered for Back-Up Care and have tested positive for COVID-19, are suspected of having COVID-19 or are self-isolating, please do not utilise the programme or support a backup care booking.

NHS COVID-19 App

Our biggest priority is and will always be the safety of our teams, families and childcarers and we encourage all childcarers to download the NHS COVID-19 app.

Note: If childcarers have chosen to download the app, they should remember that, when working in a nursery, they should turn off the tracking functionality, pause the contact tracing or turn their phone off when stored with the rest of the staff phones. Otherwise, it may incorrectly suggest that they have had close contact with other staff whose phones are stored with theirs.
