Nanny and Childcare Training
There is much debate as to what makes a good nanny. I would like to focus on training and why it is so important to have a childcare qualification

Childcare qualifications
Having an NNEB/CACHE or similar gives you a more professional status as a nanny.
People will realise that this is your career and not just a fill-in job. It shows you have learnt every aspect of early childcare including:
- developmental norms
- paediatric first aid
- weaning
- learning through play
- observations
- childhood illnesses
- learning difficulties etc.
Extra leg up for the best nanny jobs
A qualification should put you at the top of the rung when it comes to jobs. It also means you can get Ofsted registered, which is becoming an important requirement for parents wanting to use childcare vouchers.
Gaining a childcare qualification
If anyone is wishing to become a nanny then training should be the first step towards that career. Tinies offers advice on all childcare courses, including NVQs, First Aid, etc.
