My Nanny's Trip to the Science Musuem

I was working in London yesterday, and my nanny took my 2 sons to the Science Museum with another nanny and 2 boys

I caught the train home with them at the end of the day. I did feel for all the serious commuters trying to have some peace and quiet, with 4 boys under the age of 6 loudly discussing the fake poo they saw at the Museum.

Have all boys since time began been interested in scatology?

My youngest boy was happily settled on my lap for the beginning of the journey, but then got down and went to give my nanny a big hug and then stayed on her lap for the rest of the journey.

Some mums would have felt a pang of jealousy at that point

Some child psychologists would see that as an example of the awful confusion that my son experiences, having a working mum.

I think that is all rubbish.

All I could think was how lucky he is to have someone like our nanny who clearly adores him, and whom he genuinely loves too. I think his life is richer for it.

And it gave me a chance to read the paper...
