Siblings Going to the Same School

My two boys go to the same school

There are obvious advantages to this:

  • 1 school run. My sister has 4 children and 4 schools to drive to. Good luck with that
  • Massive savings on uniform. You are less fussed that the 2nd is dressed in frayed trousers, holey gym kit, and jumpers that are so faded it is hard to tell what colour they were originally
  • If the school survived teaching the eldest child, they should be prepared and ready for the next.

The only disadvantage is that my youngest hangs out quite a lot with his brother's friends. As a result he has quite an interesting repertoire of slang and swear-words for a four year old.

Blah, blah, blah whatever

On the weekend, when I told him off for his behaviour, his retort was "Blah, blah, blah whatever". I'm not sure he understood what he was saying, but he delivered it with complete conviction and in an American accent - I was impressed, which was the wrong reaction obviously.

He has also been practising "the finger" but hasn't quite worked it out, and instead ends up pointing up at the sky with a furious expression on his face.

Kids do the funniest things…

Having read about the small fortune that parents are making videoing their kids doing funny/stupid things for YouTube, I am now thinking of encouraging this behaviour whilst having a camera at the ready.

Is this the new face of childcare?? Whatever man....

You made things so much easier at what could have been a bit of a stressful time finding childcare. Instead we had a great build up and a fantastic weekend.
