Toddler Groups and Kids Activities

Now that the summer holidays are over it is lovely to be back at toddler groups with daily routine back in full swing

J started Baby Ballet this week which was the cutest class I have ever been to.

Seven little girls aged between 2 and 3 years all dressed in pink leotards and pink tutus. I was amazed to see how calm a ballet lesson can be with such little ones, and I was very intrigued into each child's interpretation of skipping!!

Ballet lessons and imagination!

This class showed how imagination plays a huge part in a child's life. Being able to pretend you are at a giant's birthday party with cake and party bags really is a challenge, which all the girls achieved with such enthusiasm.

J loved Ballet and we certainly practised our "good toes, naughty toes" and curtsies all evening when we got home.  I've just got to remember when she asks for her "Do Do" she is actually referring to her "Tutu"!

Encourage movement and thought

Classes like ballet, music, football, gymnastics etc encourage movement and thought, developing a child physically and emotionally.

They all need classes like this to allow them time to express themselves and challenge themselves. It helps children to learn in a teaching environment, which helps develop their listening skills and ability to follow instructions, a skill they will all need through their early years.

To find out more about classes like the above in your area ask at your local children's centre or use the internet to discover exciting classes for your little ones.
