Using Childcare for the First Time

My neighbours presented me with an interesting challenge last week. They needed a babysitter for their eight month old nephew, who was staying with them for a week and wondered if I could recommend anyone

Without hesitation, I gave them the number for Tinies Buckinghamshire nanny agency and also told them to have a look at the Tinies website.

Finding a good babysitter or nanny

They reported back a few days later that they had been thrilled with the babysitting service they had received.

They attributed this to the professionalism and care that had been shown to them throughout, from the first person they spoke to on the phone to the babysitter herself, who was warm, confident and calm.

The world of childcare

Finding a good babysitter or nanny can be a contentious pursuit.

I would be the first to admit how hard it is to dip your toe into the world of childcare for the first time. One of my children has mild special needs and, although he is charming, wonderful and bright, it is inevitable that there will be extra demands placed on his babysitter.

With this in mind, I didn't actually hire anyone until he was four years old, relying solely on family instead. When eventually I did, I only wished I'd done it sooner. He had a great time and asked when we would be going out again!

Using a reputable childcare agency

There are some truly amazing and capable child carers out there, and the beauty of using a reputable agency such as Tinies to find one is the complete peace of mind you get from knowing your babysitter or nanny has been fully vetted.

Only the best candidates are accepted and this is what gives me the confidence to go out and relax occasionally, knowing my children are safe, happy and also enjoying a welcome change!
