Full Time Nanny Job in Cambridgeshire
Job description
A responsible nanny who is keen to encourage his development by spending time interacting with him is sought.
Both parents are working at home due to the pandemic. The nanny will be required to be cautious regarding Covid-19, both around the child and within their own lives, adhering to the government advice.
The hours for this full time nanny role are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, however, the family could also consider 10am-6pm or part-time if required. This is a fixed term position required until 31st August 2021 at the latest.
The little boy has several allergies and the nanny must have previous experience and confidence in caring for and preparing food for children with allergies and must have valid Epi Pen and allergy training.
Duties and requirements for this Full Time Nanny role include:
- General childcare duties
- Light meal prep, solid and bottle feeding (and/or bringing baby to mum for nursing)
- Settling the baby for naps
- Implementing fun and stimulating developmental activities
- Taking the baby outdoors for fresh air activities
- General nurturing
- Working as a team and liaising effectively with the parents
- Light housework around the child or during naps, as relevant to childcare (e.g. tidying, keeping floors clean; helping with dishes and baby's laundry)
- The family require the nanny to participate in Cambridge's asymptomatic testing programme for those who work outside the home (free testing provided by the government; programme requires two tests be taken per week)
- The nanny must wear a mask when indoors (The family will also wear masks around the nanny for their protection for the time being)
Expectations will regularly be revisited and can be adapted as the situation with the pandemic improves.
To apply for this nanny role candidates must have:
- The right to work in the UK
- Previous age appropriate, sole charge nanny experience with babies
- Weaning experience
- A childcare qualification is desirable but not essential for this role if candidates are very experienced working professionally with babies
- A valid 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate (Tinies can assist)
- A valid Epi Pen and allergy training certificate (Tinies can assist)
- Nanny insurance (Tinies can advise)
- A clean, enhanced DBS disclosure (Tinies can assist)
- A clean driving licence - a duty car will be available but it is unlikely that any driving will be needed during the pandemic
- Flexibility
Candidates must be able to supply referees covering the last 5 years of employment.
Candidates must be non-smokers and non - vapers.
The hourly rate being offered is up to £13.00 gross per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
