Role purpose
The Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day running of the rooms comprising their team and as a member of the Nursery Management Team, supporting the management team in leading the setting to ensure that high quality childcare is provided to all. This role profile is not exhaustive and the Team Leader is expected to fulfil any duty as required for the effective running of the setting.
Key Accountabilities
• Act as a role model for the Early Years, ensuring that the EYFS is implemented and followed throughout the team to an exemplary standard.
• Engage with the Nursery Management Team to understand and comply with registration and legislative requirements, including any requirements outlined by Ofsted.
• Be the first point of contact for any parent queries for children in the rooms comprising your team.
• Provided day-to-day leadership and management for the team and staff across the nursery as required.
• Identify training needs and support with the training and development of the staff team.
• Be the first point of contact for any staffing issues or requests, including requests for time off.
• Carry out return to work meetings following periods of absence.
