Job description

Are you excited about the prospect of progressing your career within a large, family run nursery, situated on the outskirts of Stockport and the Peak District?

Tinies are looking for a dynamic leader to manage a large 150 place nursery!

The Nursery:

• Adopting the 'Curiosity Approach' the setting develops the curious minds they care for through a focus on everything natural, with Forest School and outdoor learning being a firm favourite within the setting.

• The nursery have a truly outstanding reputation in delivering the best quality childcare in the area. They believe in creating an awesome environment for children and grown-ups to learn, develop, play and have fun - making a positive difference to people's lives!

• The passionate Nursery Director is actively involved within the nursery and is looking for a special someone to lead this fantastic team of child-carers.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a Level 3 childcare or above qualification
• Have a proven track record and at least 2 years' managerial experience
• Possess an excellent knowledge of OFSTED requirements and had experience of inspections
• Have a real love and drive for working with and educating children
• Hold relevant Safeguarding Qualifications
• Be happy to up-skill and improve their own learning and that of others
• Believe in a strong Parent Partnership in order to provide cohesive learning to our children
• Be highly organised with great time management skills
• Have a great personality : -)

Additional desirable skills:

• EYT or EYP qualification
• Forest School Teacher qualification
• Experience of The Curiosity Approach

The role requires the manager:

• To plan and deliver effective daily management of the nursery, in accordance with Company policy, all relevant legislation, plus local authority and OFSTED requirements.
• To ensure the provision is of the highest quality; providing a safe, stimulating and caring child-centred environment catering for the children's educational and developmental needs.
• To ensure that all agreed quality and safety standards are maintained in the nursery at all times.
• Take responsibility for the recruitment and overall management of all childcare and other team members.
• To liaise closely with parents/carers to ensure high levels of involvement and customer satisfaction at all times.
• Market the nursery to prospective parents, together with the Director.
• To lead and promote The Curiosity Approach throughout the nursery.
