Job description

Do you have a passion for early years and experience as an outstanding leader? We are looking for a qualified NURSERY MANAGER for a successful nursery near Catterick, North Yorkshire.

The nursery is an established purpose built setting, with great outdoor play spaces. The devoted team of practitioners in the setting care for children between 3 months and 5 years of age throughout the dedicated rooms and play spaces in the nursery. The nursery operates between 7:30am and 6:30pm. The setting is easily accessible with onsite parking, and brilliant links to the A1. Salary in the region of 35k per annum, dependant on skills and experience.

The ideal Nursery Manager will have at least 2 years' experience in a successful setting, be confident in showcasing the setting's achievements with direct experience of liaising with Ofsted and other professionals. The Nursery are looking for someone who holds at least a level 3 childcare qualification; additional qualifications or a commitment to continue studies are highly desirable. You will be an exceptional communicator, with the ability to both lead and inspire the team across the different areas of the nursery, as well as be welcoming and approachable to the families that access the provision.

As Nursery Manager you will be proficient in ICT and familiar with supporting the administrative duties of a full day nursery. You will be confident in delivering feedback and reporting on progress both of the setting and to colleagues as part of team meetings or individual appraisal and supervisions. As Nursery Manager you will have an in depth knowledge of current legislation and EYFS requirements and be able to implement these in practice. You will be engaging with the ability to share and gather ideas from your team, lead by example and contribute to the continuous development and expansion of an already thriving Early Years provision.

Nursery Manager specification

Level 3 Relevant Childcare Qualification - minimum requirement
Additional Managerial Qualifications desirable
Level 2 Safeguarding desirable
Paediatric First Aid desirable
Current DBS or on Update Service, preferred (help can be offered to apply)
2 years + Nursery Manager experience essential
2 years + current EYFS experience essential
Good communication skills
Proficient in IT
Confident with parents & professional
Confident in marketing & promoting business growth
Experience with Ofsted and a good knowledge of the Early Years inspection framework
