Full Time Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioner

A fun and friendly nursery in Bedford is seeking Full Time Level 2 and 3 Early Years Practitioners to join their growing team, to deliver the highest standards of care and education for children aged 3 months - 5 years.

To apply for this Early Years Practitioner role candidates must have:

• A Full and relevant Early Years / Childcare qualification (minimum level 2)
• A clean, enhanced DBS (Tinies can assist)
• Previous nursery experience of at least one year
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS Framework
• A valid 12 hour Paediatric First Aid certificate (Tinies / the nursery can assist)
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to work in a team and also under your own initiative
• A love of working with children and being part of their learning and development journey

Duties for this Early Years Practitioner role include:

• Planning and carrying out fun and educational activities
• All general childcare duties
• Implementing the EYFS framework and carrying out observations
• Key worker responsibilities for a designated group of children
• Liaising effectively with parents, carers and colleagues
• Attending staff meetings and training courses
• Supporting and encouraging the learning and development of all children
• Monitoring and recording the children's developmental progress, achievements and next steps

The hours are 40 hours per week, worked over 4.5 days on a shift basis to cover the opening times of the nursery which are 7.30am - 6.30pm Monday - Friday.

The hourly rate is £12.00 gross for Level 3 and £11.55 gross for level 2 qualified candidates.
