Term Time Only pre-School Practitioner

A small, well established Pre-School near Newport Pagnell (MK16) are seeking a Term Time only, level 3 qualified Pre - School Practitioner to join their friendly and welcoming team as soon as possible.

This position is term time only for 39 weeks per year. The days and hours required are:

Monday and Tuesday from 8am - 1pm

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8am - 3pm

To apply for this Pre - School Practitioner role candidates must have:

• A full and relevant minimum level 3 qualification in childcare / early years (Qualification must be listed on the Department for Education full and relevant list)

• At least one year of paid previous experience working in a childcare setting

• An enhanced DBS (Tinies can assist)

• Good knowledge of the EYFS

• Good communication skills

• Experience of working with children with additional needs is not essential but would be an advantage

• The Right to Work in the UK

• Contactable referees to cover the last five years of employment and character referees to cover any gaps

Duties for this Pre - School Practitioner role include:

• To assist the Early Years Teacher and team with the planning of the EYFS Curriculum

• General childcare duties

• To assist in setting up and tidying away

• To prepare and supervise snack and lunch club

• To act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising effectively with parents and carers to ensure the needs of each child are met

• To be aware of any Special Educational Needs a child may have and to ensure relevant play and learning plans are familiar

• To keep on top of regular paper work such as 2 year old checks and observations

• To participate in outside activities such as parents evenings and committee meetings
