Full Time Nursery Nurse Job in Essex

Job description

 
A busy day nursery in Loughton, Essex are looking to employ 2 x level 3 practitioners as soon as possible.

The role is as follows:-

• Be a role model showcasing high quality practice with regards to individual and group work with children, dealing with staff and parent issues as
• they arise.
• Embrace, understand and promote New Beginnings and to understand the role you play in providing high levels of care and education.
• Promote a working environment in which the emotional, social, psychological, physical, developmental and educational well-being of children is
• paramount and in which a supportive, empathetic and non-judgemental approach is used in all interactions with children and their families.
• Work with the management team to support the nursery to reach/maintain an 'Outstanding' grade with Ofsted. JD Nursery Practitioner V2 May 2020
• Ensure that appropriate recognition is given to staff who perform or carry out their duties over and beyond what is expected.
• Support New Beginnings commitment to safeguarding children by following the company's Safeguarding Policy & Procedures.
• Reinforce company policy and procedures at all times.
• Promote equality and diversity within the nursery, challenging any behaviour of staff and children which does not support our Inclusive Practice and
• Equal Opportunities Policy.
• Complete tasks that are in your task folder by the date set.
• Seek permission from the room leader prior to leaving the room to ensure staff ratios are maintained in accordance with statutory regulations.
• To be part of a team that provides a purposeful, stimulating environment that is rich in learning opportunities, both indoors and outdoors with
• activities that take into account children's abilities, interests, language and cultural backgrounds.
• Be flexible within working practice of the nursery and be prepared to help where needed; including undertaking domestic jobs within the nursery
• e.g. Preparation of snacks, cleaning of the nursery, cleaning of equipment, putting bins out, laundry etc.
• Be flexible with regards to working in different rooms as and when required to ensure effective operation of the nursery.
• Respond appropriately to issues regarding confidentiality and report immediately to the Room Leader/Nursery Manager.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions necessary for continuing professional development.
• Complete training courses where required for continuing professional development.
• Participate in all self-development activities including appraisals and supervisions.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
