Nursery Practitioner in Worthing

Nursery Practitioner wanted in a large nursery in Worthing. You will be working a 40 hour week either over 4 days (long days) or over 5 days (shorter days) There is parking at the nursery and its also on the bus route. This is a lovely nursery that is expanding its team.

Duties include:

· to assist in the setting up and clearing away of all activities and equipment

· to ensure that high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times

· to ensure that any information received concerning the children is kept confidential at all times

· to ensure all practice is Inclusive

· to provide a wide variety of activities for the children

· to attend staff meetings as requested & be actively involved

· to attend training as requested

· to be involved in curriculum planning

· to encourage the participation and involvement of all parents of children attending the nursery

· to actively encourage children's progress in all areas of development

· to undertake a key person role with identified children

· to be responsible for their key children's next steps & Learning Journals

· to report any safeguarding concerns or child protection matters

· to work as part of a team and support colleagues

· implement and work according to policies & procedures

Qualifications needed to apply for the role:

· A level 3 qualification appropriate for the care and development of children is essential

· First Aid Certificate desirable

· Safeguarding training desirable
