A Nursery in Crouch End is looking for a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join the team as a Senior Nursery Practitioner. This is a rare opportunity in a very wonderful Nursery with long standing staff and local families.

It is an outstanding setting rated by ofsted with a very high 'staff to child' ratio where they offer cjhildcare to 2-4 year olds.

The nursery has operated for over 28 years on word of mouth recommendations, dedicated staff, wonderful families and an owner that believes in the importance of giving all children the best start in life.

Salary: Level 3 or higher £24,500-£26,000 (dependent on experience)
Position: Senior Nursery Practitioner
Contract: Permanent/ Full time 5 days a week
Shifts: 8am-4pm and 10am-6pm as per rota

To be considered for this role you will need

• Key person experience
• Level 3 - Early Years and Childcare qualification, minimum
• A positive approach to flexibility within the nursery incl. training and meetings
• Enjoyment of working within a long-term team structure
• Recognise and work to Oftsed National Standards
• Experience fostering good parent relationships and support next steps and transitions

The job would include the following duties:
• To provide high quality care and education and ensure the needs of individual children are met, including those from a variety of cultures and religious backgrounds and stages of development.
• Build and maintain close and secure relationships with children, ensuring that their care, health and well-being is promoted at all times.
• Support children in developing their personal and social skills and in making relationships with other children through modeling positive behavior.
• Support the induction process for children and families which may include home visits with another member of staff.
• Track children's individual development and plan and set up activities according to the individual and the EYFS
• Have a good knowledge of safeguarding children and ensuring Child Protection policies are followed through.
