Level 3 Diploma - EYE

Course:

CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Childcare (Early Years Educator - EYE) Qualification No. 601/2629/2

Duration:

Early Years Practitioner learners can usually complete the Diploma within 12-18 months if fully supported by the employer.

The Diploma prepares learners to become Early Years Educators enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.

Assessment:

The Cache qualification is structured around 4 themes.

  • Theme 1 - Health and Well-Being
  • Theme 2 - Legislation, Frameworks and Professional Practice
  • Theme 3 - Play, Developmental and Learning for School Readiness
  • Theme 4 - Professional Development

Learners must achieve:

  • 23 mandatory units

Learner reflection is actively promoted and the learner will be further supported to conduct child observations and assessments.

The learner will need to pass all units, complete a longitudinal study and show competence in a real work environment.  Learners should demonstrate approximately 350 placement hours.

Reminder:

This is a reminder that you must have a GCSE Maths and English or above to complete the Level 3 Early Years Educator.

From the 1 August 2015 any apprenticeship or advanced learner loan funded learners must hold a GCSE grade A*-C in Maths and English to be allowed to undertake the Level 3 EYE programme - this is an EXIT requirement and can be studied in PARALLEL. Whilst Tinies Training can fully or part fund training the GCSE study programme must be accessed by the Learner through their local college or other GCSE provider - Tinies Training can assist with GCSE signposting.

Private learners do not need to hold GCSE grade A*-C Maths and English but to achieve the full Level 3 framework of the Early Years Educator this is recommended as it is a requirement by Ofsted to be counted in ratio within an early setting in England.

The course trainer was very funny and knowledgeable of Paediatric First Aid. I feel very confident in everything I learned. Easy to find the training venue, accessibility was good, and a friendly environment.
