Crafty gift ideas for Father's Day 2014
Duct tape wallets
This isn't for the beginner craftsperson, but with clear instructions we're sure you can give it a go! Don't forget to make a few items to go inside, like large sums of money or notes from the kids and of course a family photo. Don't forget, Duct tape comes in many colours and patterns now, so you need not just stick to silver or black.
Button cufflinks
For your dad to rock the 'homemade' look at the office, all you'll need is a few stray buttons, wire and a few odds and ends fabric-wise to make this ultimate accessory. Get creative and use items other than buttons that have holes or that you can easily attach to the wire, such as scrabble letters or lego blocks.
If you want to go all the way, here's a simple way to build dad a place to store his cufflinks!
Personalised containers
If the Dad in your household likes to store bits and pieces, why not make him a personalised container made by the little ones? Choose his favourite colours and find a theme you know he'll love, from a sweet jar to a toolbox for all his building supplies.
When choosing the container, you can use anything from a coffee or hot chocolate tub to a cereal or shoe box - just have a think about what you want it to contain.
Desk-bound grass family
You and the kids will have fun making grass head characters of all shapes sizes and designs that dad can take with him to the office as a daily reminder. Or you can grow them on a windowsill at home to see whose hair grows the fastest and the longest.
Don't forget to add features to your grass head family that make them look just like you - spectacles, quirky bow tie, etc.
Coupon books
Think of a variety of things that your dad would love you to help with, or that you could do for him to make life easier. Just remember that, when he wants to redeem a coupon, you'll have to follow through!
Whether you offer to cut the grass or cook breakfast in bed, make sure to choose things you know Dad will enjoy. Take time to let the little ones design the coupons and draw their own images to go with them.
Themed cupcakes

For the Chefs among you, here's a treat that will fill the grateful tummies of dads with a sweet tooth.
Whether you have an angler, a golfer or a barbecue guru on your hands, these cupcakes make for great inspiration and a delicious treat to be appreciated on the day.
