Our Favourite Spring Crafts for Kids

For those of you who love to add a little crafting to your days, the Easter break is the perfect opportunity to share your skills with the children around you

With bunnies and chicks being favourites during the spring season, we've found a few activities to spark your interest or provide inspiration. Don't forget to share your creations with us on our Facebook page WorkplusFamily.

Spoon puppets

This is a craft that all ages can get involved in, start by making the puppets. See what other characters you can create as well, then see what creative stories the kids can come up with. If you're really feeling inventive why not build a theatre and put on a show.

Egg hunt for toddlers

This is a great idea for a family, or for a group of toddlers. With older children in the mix, don't use balloons for all of them, or find more difficult hiding spots. Or, hide clues in the eggs and have them solve a riddle to find their prize.

Bunny keepsake

If you have a lot of cotton wool lying around, this is a fun way to personalise your spring crafts. The kids always love to play with cotton balls and get their hands and feet covered in paint - it's a great sensory exercise.

Wine cork chicks

This is really simple and fun to do! Try doing this on large rolls of paper and make your own homemade wrapping paper. You can adapt the characters and use this craft all year round, from snow men for winter to summer beach balls, imagination is the only limit.

Bunny hat

Again, this is simple and can be easily adapted to any season - or the likes of your children. If you have a little prince or princes on your hands, they'll be just as happy as the animal lovers. Just remember that if you use glitter - it will take weeks to get it out of their hair!

Bugs on a branch

This is a really cute craft that you can do with all ages - the detail may improve with age! If you don't have plastic spoons lying around, a trip to the pound store will have you sorted in no time. Combine this with a nature walk or doing some online research into bug life!

Floral bouquets

From a single stem to a whole arrangement, these intricate and colourful flowers are hard to get wrong, and they won't die in a few days when you forget to water them amidst all the spring fun. Just make sure you're always on hand when the scissors are in action.

This craft is simple and pretty and can be adapted depending on what you have at home. Use coffee filters instead of cupcake liners for bigger wings, use pipe cleaners for antennae, or use twigs instead of clothes pegs. You'll find these a hit with the children and yourself!

Tinies really did make our day and I would recommend your services to anybody else in a heartbeat. We have just landed home after a truly amazing couple of days at Cain Manor and I can honestly say that one of the things that really made our day was the work your team put in.

You understood our vision so perfectly and did such an incredible job; we just can't thank you enough. Without exception, the parents were just blown away by how easily you engaged the children from the minute you arrived and continued to do so throughout the day. The team were so lovely that the children just gravitated towards them instantly!

The measure of this was that Lottie (my bridesmaid and best friend's daughter who normally refuses to leave her Mum's hip if she's anywhere within a 2 mile radius!) actually went off with you! Please don't underestimate what an incredible achievement that was! I know you're all professionals and are therefore really good at knowing how to win the little ones over but Lottie is a particularly difficult customer.

I just want to thank you all so much.
