This role is for a highly experienced, passionate, and well-qualified educationist to support the development of quality education and curriculum across our four nurseries. This role is central to our mission: ensuring that every child has exceptional, meaningful learning experiences that are rooted in nature, inspired by the arts, and connected through community.
Summary of Responsibilities
Curriculum Leadership & Embedding Practice
· Champion our core curriculum, including the 18 goals under the Nature, Arts, and Community pillars.
· Support each nursery in adapting the curriculum to suit its age groups, staff strengths, and community context.
· Work with management teams to keep the curriculum and quality of education consistently front of mind.
Staff Development & Mentoring
· Conduct regular in-person observations and provide feedback to practitioners.
· Mentor and train staff of all experience levels, with a particular focus on supporting apprentices and their professional growth.
· Act as a key support during the 12-week staff induction programme, ensuring new team members become confident and familiar with the nursery curriculum and its delivery.
· Work closely with each nursery’s manager and leadership team to support quality improvements in a collaborative, side-by-side way offering support and guidance without adding unnecessary pressure or workload.
· Deliver professional development sessions both in-person and online.
Setting-Specific Support
· Recognise and nurture each nursery’s unique identity and ensure the curriculum is personalised to its own context, team and community while remaining consistent.
· Assist in the development and upkeep of high-quality indoor and outdoor learning environments.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration
· Collaborate closely with Strategic Education Adviser and Director to shape termly and annual educational priorities.
· Help coordinate and deliver high-quality training conferences across the nurseries.
· Contribute to a collaborative, warm, and purposeful leadership culture.
Optional Teaching Practice
· For candidates wishing to retain a direct teaching role, the position can include one day per week of exemplary teaching practice in a nursery classroom.
Time Commitment & Flexibility
· 3 to 4 days per week (depending on the candidate).
· 2–3 days weekly based in nurseries.
· Option for one day per week remote/home working for planning, preparation, and administration.
Ideal Candidate
· Holds a strong and relevant qualification in early years education higher than level 3 for example BA Hons in Early Years/ Montessori Teacher/ Early Years QTS
· Has extensive experience in teaching, mentoring, and curriculum leadership.
· Is values-driven, creative, and deeply committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for children.
· Is confident working independently but thrives in a collaborative environment.
· Is warm, emotionally intelligent, and able to build trust with teams in a supportive, side-by-side way.
· Understands the importance of keeping the joy, warmth, and magic in early years education.
