Nanny SUNDERLAND
A professional couple based in the Sunderland area are looking for a Nanny to care for their little girl, aged 1.
The ideal Nanny will be an experienced child carer, with the maturity and competence to work in a sole charge position. Parents are open to applications from both career nannies, and junior nannies who may have come from other backgrounds in childcare or teaching, but that have excellent understanding of child development and meeting the needs of toddlers and young children.
The family are looking for someone to work 3 days a week, from early August when a new role in Sunderland is due to start. The Nanny does not need to be a driver. The family are willing to consider a Nanny with their own child.
The nanny should be friendly and loving, with a clear passion for what they do. They should love books and sharing stories, and enjoy imaginative play and being creative, making the most of toys at home and planning engaging activities that support early skills and learning. The nanny must be very reliable, as parents are both out of the house and will be dependant on the nanny to provide high levels of care for their little one. The nanny should be a great communicator; they are looking for someone open, truthful and trustworthy. You should be able to commit to a long term role, and be well versed in the care of babies and toddlers at a similar age.
The Nanny's duties will include:
- Full day care of their daughter
- Prepare food and support with feeding - homemade nutritious meals and snacks for the child mainly
- Provide a rich and varied array of activities, that promote new skills and focus on the little ones age and stage of development
- Plan activities both indoors and exploring locally, such as visiting the park
- Supporting sleep routines and supervising appropriately
- Helping with nappy changes and other personal care
- Keep the play areas tidy, normal nursery duties to include keeping the house clean and tidy, hoovering and taking care of laundry.
Start Date: 6th August 2025 (ideally)Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Hours: 8am - 5pm
Salary: £15 per hour Negotiable, dependant on experience
