Claire Adams, Branch Owner

Claire Adams

I am qualified with a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing 1993-1995 and have trained as a Midwife at the University of Hertfordshire in 1997-1999.

I started out my career at Tinies as a Childcare Consultant back in January 2000, and have been responsible for launching and establishing franchises in the Home Counties. I have a staff team of 11 to help support and manage our daily operation.

I now own and run 5 Tinies Franchises acquiring my first franchise in May 2004 with Tinies Hertfordshire. I went on to buy Tinies Buckinghamshire in June 2006 and then in May 2008 I bought Tinies Berkshire Nurseries. In May 2009 I took over Hampshire & West Surrey leaving my most recent acquisition for 2010 to be Tinies Dorset, making me the single largest Tinies franchisee in Tinies history.

We believe Tinies' Vision is to provide the very best nannies and childcarers to our clients, and to be trusted to deliver on that promise. In addition, we must influence and shape the future of the childcare industry.

Internally as a company we are committed to being the preferred supplier for our clients, outshining our competitors, and growing our business year on year.

We deliver a professional, personal and proactive service to find the right childcare solution for our clients. Safety is paramount, and therefore we guarantee all Tinies childcarers undergo vigorous interviewing and screening.

Faye Ansell, Recruitment Manager

Faye Ansell

I joined Tinies in 2014 after gaining previous childcare recruitment experience in the Thames Valley. Prior to recruitment, I was based in a Montessori Day Nursery setting where I spent my first 8 years after qualifying and gaining my level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. During this employment I was promoted to Room Leader and held additional responsibilities in the absence of the deputy manager. During my time at the nursery, I achieved my Advanced level Apprenticeship in Management and Speech and Language Level 3 Support for Under 5s.

My passion for childcare and all aspects that came with working with children grew in my time at the nursery. I took on extra role such as the Events Co-ordinator, mentor for students and new staff and completing staff rotas, training programmes etc. My role as Events Co-ordinator helped me to develop my confidence as I had to work closely with a variety of departments within the large computing company, to ensure all areas such as health and safety, risk assessments, food and security were met for each event. This is where my love for organising events began!

My role at Tinies Childcare began as the Events Planner for Herts, Bucks & Berkshire, where I work closely with the temporary team in providing crèches that support parenting courses for Local Authorities, and to provide pop up event crèche services for weddings, corporate events and festivals. Since this, I have covered all areas of the business working on both the permanent and temporary recruitment. I was promoted to Senior Recruitment Consultant in 2016 where my focus was to oversee and encourage the temporary side of our business- nursery, creche, babysitting and Emergency childcare. I trained the new team members that joined Tinies and would support the Recruitment Manager in her absence. In January 2018, I was promoted to Recruitment Manager.

Before joining the Tinies Recruitment Team I was working as a Private Nanny and have 14 years' experience working within the child care industry gaining my Diploma in Childcare and Education in August 2005. I was very excited to start a new career path with completely new challenges ahead and still be able to work within the childcare industry.

I started my position at Tinies in February 2016 as maternity cover running the Temp Nursery desk for Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. The job was very fast passed and I often wondered if I would cope with the amount of new information I was taking in. It was great getting to know the candidates that had worked for Tinies for many years and I had plenty of support from the team. I thought working as a nanny that my new job would be easy but I most certainly have been proven wrong. I survived the maternity position and took on a permanent position with Tinies in January 2017 I worked very closely with the Senior consultant in a shared role and was introduced to the world or permanent employment. I built many new relationships and there was a real buzz when finding a candidate their dream job!

Early 2018 I took on a new challenge and still continue to support nannies with temporary employment, working closely with local hotels providing a babysitting service and working with local authorities providing creches that run alongside parenting courses. In June 2018 I was thrilled to be promoted to Senior Recruitment consultant and I enjoy working closely with the branch manager.

Although I have been faced with various challenges along the way I find my job to be very rewarding and am lucky to work with a wonderful team of people. I have learnt so many new skills and still continue to do so through training. I have learnt a lot about myself along the way and how to deal with circumstances I would have never thought a recruitment agency would need to concur.

I have recently joined Tinies in 2019 excited and eager to learn something new but still being able to be in the childcare sector.

Prior to working at Tinies, I have been in childcare in 5 and a half years. As soon as I left school at 16, I knew childcare was something I loved and wanted to do as a career. Working in childcare I gained my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.

At the age of 16, I started as a nursery apprentice and worked my way up to a room leader of the 2-3-year olds. Working in a curiosity approach-based nursery it was great to learn something different and for me to constantly use my initiative and imagination and especially seeing how things like the curiosity approach can help the children learn and grow.

At Tinies Childcare, I am working alongside Catherine and Jodie for the Temp side for Herts, Bucks & Berkshire. I look forward to my role with Tinies constantly growing and working alongside this lovely team and learning lots of different things on the way.
