Your Paediatric First Aid Guidance
First aid training is essential for professional childcarers, enabling them to save lives in critical situations. While basic training covers common scenarios, a full 12-hour paediatric first aid (PFA) course specifically prepares you for emergencies involving infants, such as choking.
Accredited trainers offer a 6-hour emergency PFA course and a full 12-hour PFA course. This certification must be renewed every three years and has been a requirement for any newly qualified Level 2 or Level 3 staff post 30th June 2016 in order to be included in ratio.
