Our Mission

At Tinies, our mission is to support families and childcare professionals by providing exceptional, personalised childcare solutions. We are dedicated to helping parents, nurseries, and childcarers find their perfect match. Our network of 26 professional childcare recruitment agencies across the UK is committed to delivering the highest standards of safety, reliability, and expertise.

We ensure every childcarer undergoes a rigorous vetting process, including enhanced DBS or PVG checks and necessary qualifications, to give parents peace of mind and nurseries and other Early Years organisations the skilled staff they need. We believe in the vital role of childcare professionals in our communities and strive to empower them through rewarding job opportunities, continuous learning, and comprehensive support.

We are Building Stronger Families.

Our Story

Tinies was founded in 1975, as a specialised nanny agency, with a singular focus on connecting families with safe, reliable, quality childcare professionals. In 1985, we took a significant step forward, expanding into a small franchise business which allowed us to serve more regions across the UK. Later, we launched our nursery recruitment services. The year 2007 marked a milestone for Tinies, with 30 franchised branches established across the UK, we solidified our commitment to accessible, high-quality childcare services.

In 2019, Tinies became part of My Family Care owned by Bright Horizons. While maintaining our operational independence. In October 2024, Tinies was sold by Bright Horizons to one of its longest-standing franchisees, Claire Adams. Today, we proudly stand as the UK’s largest network of professional childcare recruitment agencies. As a national brand with 26 operational branches, Tinies remains at the forefront of childcare excellence.

Our Memberships and Affiliations

REC – Childcare Code of Practice

In an industry where childcare recruitment agencies are not required to be registered, Tinies goes above and beyond by choosing to be members of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC). REC is the voice of the Recruitment Industry who drive quality standards. This decision reflects Tinies dedication to maintaining the highest standards of practice and is a sign of the quality of service we provide.

Tinies adhere to the REC Code of Professional Practice, ensuring our operations meet the highest ethical and professional standards and ensuring that we are fully compliant with current legislation whilst supporting equality and diversity. Membership can only be retained through passing and maintaining a compliance assessment.

Jobs Aware

JobsAware is a brand of the Modern Work Foundation, a non-profit organisation which started as a Metropolitan Police fraud forum within Operation Sterling in 2008. Since that time, they have helped over 2 million people with a safer job search and to stay safe while at work.

By becoming a partner with JobsAware, we support helping to stamp out job scams and labour market abuses. Jobs Aware provides free help and advice to anyone who thinks they might have been the victim of a job scam or unfair working practices. They also work with UK Government, labour market enforcement agencies and other partners to help workers resolve issues.

Care Inspectorate

All Tinies agencies operating in Scotland are registered with the Scottish Care Inspectorate.

The Care Inspectorate is a regulatory body for social care services in Scotland. Their mission is to ensure that people receive high-quality care by maintaining rigorous standards. Whether they need access to care services, want to file a complaint, or read inspection reports.

SQA - Scottish Qualification Authority

All Scottish Tinies agencies are proud to be SQA-approved providers of the Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Social Services (Children and Young People). This vocational training programme, essential for early years and daycare practitioners, is recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and assessed directly in the workplace.
