Part Time Nanny Job in Bedfordshire

Job description

 
A friendly family in Houghton Conquest are seeking a part time, kind and caring after school nanny to care for two girls aged 13 and 8 years who enjoy art, playing with friends, watching the TV and films, reading on their kindle, caring for their pets, writing, animation and climbing trees.

The hours for this Part Time Nanny job are 3pm to 7pm for three days a week, possibly extending to four days. The days will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but may occasionally change so candidates must have flexibility.

There will be some minimal, ad hoc full days required from 7am - 7pm during some of the school holidays. These will be discussed and agreed on in advance.

Duties for this Part Time Nanny role include:

  • Collecting the younger child from school
  • Taking the children to after school activities
  • Encouraging and helping the children with their homework
  • Cooking the evening meal
  • Encouraging the girls to do their chores such as walking their dog, feeding their dog and emptying the dishwasher
  • Working as a team with the parent
  • Keeping areas used within the home clean and tidy
  • Packing the school bags with the girls ready for the next days lessons, including any kits required.

To apply for this Part Time Nanny Job candidates must have:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • A level 3 qualification (or NARIC equivalent) in Childcare / Early Years is desirable
  • Previous age appropriate sole charge nanny experience is essential for this role
  • A valid 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate (Tinies can assist)
  • Nanny insurance (Tinies can advise)
  • Ofsted Registration (Tinies can assist)
  • A clean, enhanced DBS disclosure (Tinies can assist)
  • A clean driving licence and a reliable car that is insured for business use
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • A self-motivated attitude
  • Strong organisational skills

Candidates must be non-smokers and non-vapers.

The family has two cats and an excitable, medium sized dog. Applicants must be happy and confident around animals.

The salary being offered is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

This role is a live out position.
