Part Time Creche Manager Job in Berkshire

Job description

 
Tinies are recruiting a Kids Club Manager to work from the beautiful 5* Stoke Park Hotel, in Stoke Poges, Berkshire.

The Kids Club is open to Members and Guests of the hotel to use during the opening hours of 9am to 1pm 7 days a week. It is used mainly by spa and gym members during the weekend with the arrival of guests over the weekends.

It has been newly refurbished to give it a fresh look and provide a great space for fun activities and high quality care for the hotel's younger audience aged from 12 weeks to 12 years old. It has a range of new equipment, toys and lots of arts and crafts supplies to keep little minds entertained.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The role offered by Tinies is a permanent position, ideally working 5-6 days a week including a weekend day or implementing a rota to include some weekends. You may be required to work extra hours as needed by the Kids Club for example if there is a big event on at the hotel, if we have a special programme of activities running or to attend hotel meetings and training.

As Manager you will be responsible for the Kids Club staffing arrangements including recruiting, managing rotas, annual leave, appraisals and staff training.
The Kids Club at Stoke Park is a new venture for Tinies so we are looking for a manager with a minimum of 2 years experience of managing a childcare setting, a stack of confidence and above all the enthusiasm to make this the best Kids Club in a Luxury Hotel.

We have great support behind us with the team at Stoke Park Hotel wanting to provide fantastic family accommodation and enhance the programme of children's events that are currently on offer. We are looking to expand to open some afternoons during school holidays to run children's sports afternoons working with the Tennis, Swimming and Golfing Coaches at the hotel. Along with the expertise of Tinies you will have the support you need to push the Kids Club forward and help to grow these sessions.

You will be required to liaise with the hotel team and build up a strong working relationship with hotel management and all the different departments involved in the running of a hotel.

START DATE: ASAP
For a high quality, professional manager we are able to offer your usual working week to be a 20 hour week minimum (5 days), up to 30 hours a week if you are looking for more hours. We do require the Manager to have a presence at the nursery so that the varied pattern of staff, parents, guests and hotel staff are all able to have access to you and feel your presence as needed.

We are trialling opening for afternoon sessions on a weekends so more hours work can be available here too.

For the right candidate we can flexible with the working pattern.

SALARY OFFERED £14.00 Gross per hour.
Range £14,560- £21,840 gross per annum depending on hours worked.

QUALIFICATIONS
You will hold a Fully Relevant Qualification of Level 3 or above in Childcare. You must be willing to complete a DBS check with us or already be on the DBS Update Service.
Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and First Aid Certificates are preferred but training can be provided where needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Daily management of kids club in accordance with the requirements of company policies
  • To deliver and uphold the Tinies vision and mission on a daily basis
  • Provide leadership and day to day management to staffing team and to report directly to Tinies
  • Responsible for Health and Safety & Child Protection
  • Liaise and be front-of-house for all parents, hotel departments and customers
  • Monitoring of financials and taking payments
  • Be able to use I-PAD and payment machine to take payments and input data on a spreadsheet.
  • Manage daily bookings and increase to maximum occupancy
  • Bring new ideas and great leadership to attract new members and reach hotel guests
  • Complete staffing rotas for weekday, weekend and evening opening hours
  • Oversee and run weekly baby sensory sessions
