Part Time Early Years Professional Job in Yorkshire

Job description

 
An Outstanding Montessori Setting in North Yorkshire are looking for qualified level 3 Child Care Practitioner to work Monday to Friday in the nursery with children aged 2 to 5 years.

This position is a permanent role. Salary is negotiable based on previous experience and qualification in the region of £10 per hour

Job Description:

As a Montessori Educatorin the setting you will promote inclusive Montessori and EYFS based play and learning opportunities for all children attending the Nursery. You will maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment both indoors in the carefully prepared rooms, and outside where you will be able to share your love of animals and the natural world. A caring disposition is essential together with motivation, professionalism, enthusiasm, initiative and the ability to work as part of a team.


Person Specification

• A Montessori Teaching Diploma (may consider a non-Montessori Level 3 qualification if has a good understanding of Montessori principles)
• A sound understanding of child development and children's needs.
• The ability to carry out observations to a high standard in accordance with The Montessori methodology and the EYFS.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• An ability to engage with parents/carers in respect of their child's development.
• Good customer awareness.
• Commitment to equality of opportunities.
• Commitment to young children and families.
• Friendly, flexible approach.
• Ability to work as a member of a team and on own initiative.
• Conversant with current legislation relevant to Early Years.
• A commitment to Montessori Education and philosophy.
