This setting based in Milton Keynes are looking for a Room Leader to support their team.

This is a purpose-built day nursery is dedicated to providing the best possible learning experience for children between 3 months and 5 years of age in a loving and friendly atmosphere. The nursery consists of age-specific play areas that allow children to progress confidently through all stages of learning and development.

The Nursery is a lovely homely nursery operating for over 27 years. As an Early Years Setting, The Nursery prides itself in providing the best possible care for children from 3 months to 5 years Old and has strong partnerships with the children and their families that attend the setting.

Job Purpose:

• Responsible for leading the room.
• Safeguarding children ensuring excellent education & childcare.
• Maintain a safe, secure and caring environment.
• Take a leading role in the development & monitoring of high quality learning & teaching.
• Take an active role within the Management Team.

Key Skills & Experience
• Hold a minimum of Level 3 qualification in childcare
• Knowledge of EYFS
• Able to work full time (up to 45 hours)
• Ability to work on own initiative and lead a team of Nursery Practitioners and Nursery Assistants
• Minimum of 1 years' experience of working with children within the age group of 1 month to 5yrs
• Minimum of 1 years' experience working in a senior role would be desirable
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
• Good parent & Staff relationships
• Empathy with children and can cater for individual needs.
• To promote a positive reputation of Palace Day Nursery
• Agreeable and eligible to obtain Enhanced DBS Reference and able to provide original copies of required qualifications.
• A willingness to work towards a Level 4 would be desirable


Hours: 45 hours per week Monday to Friday
