A new and modern nursery based in the heart of Poynton is looking for a Room Leader in their new stylish baby room.

Role: Baby Room Leader
Location: Poynton, SK11
Salary: £23,400 pa
Hours of Work: 40 hours pw 7.30am - 5.30pm
Days of Work: 4 days per week (flexible on days)

*You must:*
Hold a recognised minimum Level 3 qualification
Have gained recent experience within an Early Years setting
Possess a working knowledge of the Early Years Framework
Be confident in working with babies and young children
Have the ability to enhance and develop children's learning through play
Be able to monitor and complete essential observations

*Role & Responsibilities:*

  • To assist the nursery team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and develop children in care.
  • To supervise staff in training and maintain a proactive and professional team.
  • To ensure all daily routines are adhered to and records kept up to date.
  • To plan and carry out activities in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, Setting the Standards for Learning, Development and Care for children from birth to five, ensuring they meet with the Early Learning Goals.
  • Ensure assessments/evaluations are regularly completed.
  • Ensure children get the best start in life by working in close partnership with parents/carers to develop independence, confidence and self-esteem, building children's resilience and well-being.
  • To communicate with parents and other visitors in a calm, friendly and efficient manner.
  • To oversee an effective key worker system.
  • To liaise with other Room Leaders to provide a smooth transition for children.
