Nursery Manager in Eastbourne

A nursery based in Eastbourne are looking to appoint a Nursery Manager who will work closely alongside the Head of Pre-Prep and EYFS to continue to ensure our Nursery is a thriving and successful community.

Additional Information:

Salary - £33,000
this role is 37 hours a week, all year round


To ensure that the quality of care throughout the Nursery is outstanding through efficient structures, systems and
recording systems
To organize rotas for staff and pupils, overseeing arrangements for pupil sessions and staff working patterns, including
annual leave, ensuring sufficient staff:pupil ratios
To monitor and track pupils progress and oversee reporting to parents
To ensure that statutory policies relating to the Nursery are regularly reviewed, updated and implemented effectively
To communicate effectively and regularly with parents and carers
To work closely with the school's SEND and Health and Well-Being departments to support pupils needs
To liaise with staff across the Trust and external agencies as needed to ensure that children of all abilities and
background enjoy continuity and progression
Monitor, evaluate and review classroom practice and pupil progress; celebrate excellence; advise and update the SLT on
progress throughout the phases, identifying areas for improvement
Oversee the successful management of the transition between each year group and phase
To support the Director of Safeguarding and Prep School DSL as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead with specific
responsibility for the Nursery
To support the Trust Health and Safety Committee, ensuring that nursery provision meets regulatory requirements
Provide cover for nursery staff as required due to absence or leave
