Circa £28,000 p/a + Excellent Benefits

We are currently looking for someone with proven leadership skills and excellent people skills to join this delightful team as a Nursery Manager. This full-time position would suit someone with excellent knowledge of Ofsted and the EYFS and who can support the strong staff team to ensure that the highest standards of care and education are provided.
Situated close to train and bus links this small chain of nurseries, a 60 place setting require someone who can come along and hit the ground running.

As well as overseeing the daily operations of the nursery you will also be involved in:
• Recruitment, management, training and discipline of all nursery staff.
• Monitor and ensure all agreed Company quality and safety standards are maintained in the nursery at all times.


Your day to day tasks will include:
• Review and monitor occupancy levels to ensure they are maintained to maximum capacity. Proactively market the nursery to meet these objectives.
• Establish, develop and maintain professional working relationships with all relevant authorities, including the Local Authority, OFSTED and the Department for Education and Skills.
• Formulate, operate and evaluate an annual programme of activities, suitable for the age range of the children, following the guidelines or the implementation of 'Early Learning Goals' and the Company's Curriculum Document.
• Ensure that required standards, ratios and conditions of registration are maintained at all times.
• Develop relationships with, and utilise the Early Years Partnership.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all children including attendance registers, fee registers and medical cards, emergency contact numbers, etc.
• Organise and attend regular parents' meetings and open days.
• Ensure that all weekly / monthly returns and reports are made to the appropriate bodies i.e. Head Office, Payroll, HSE and OFSTED.
• Ensure all nursery staff are trained, motivated, appraised and developed in a positive effective manner, taking account of Company Policy and all statutory requirements to ensure that they fulfil the provisions of their job description
• Ensure that all recruitment processes within the nursery comply with Company Policy, the Employment Legislation framework and OFSTED requirements. Carry out all appropriate checks for new employees.
• Maintain accurate personnel records for all nursery employees.
• Monitor the budget and expenditure in the nursery and ensure that agreed budgets are not exceeded.
• Ensure the highest standards of safety and security within the nursery.
• Undertake and maintain record of regular Risk Assessments
• Adhere to Company Procedures including attendance at meetings, preparation f reports and any other duties as required.

You will need:
• You will have NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC or other appropriate qualification
• A minimum of 3 yrs post qualifying experience with children aged 0 - 5 years
• A minimum of 2 yrs supervisory experience, ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload
