Job description

Tinies are supporting one of our fantastic clients in the Birch Vale Derbyshire area to help grow their team of Permanent Nursery Practitioners.

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated L3 qualified Early Years Practitioner? Would you like to be part of a fantastic nursery team?

What the role will look like for you...
  • You will be working within a small and friendly, family-orientated nursery, working within the nursery rooms, planning activities, and contributing to changes in the room.
  • You will become a key worker to a group of children and nurture and guide them within their learning and development. You will build up strong relationships with our parents and families and support them in home learning.
  • You will contribute to planning an exciting, child led and fun environment for our children to flourish and grow in. Your knowledge of the EYFS and Development Matters will be used to support children in meeting their learning goals.
  • You'll be part of a valued team where teamwork is key and you will be able to contribute to this, bringing in new ideas and initiatives to help the nursery to grow.
  • Safeguarding is our top priority and everybody's responsibility. Your vigilant and thorough work will ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children and yourself.
  • Our nursery policies and procedures underpin everything we do, and you will be fully trained in these throughout your induction.

Essential Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or above)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Safeguarding Level 2 or above

Key tasks and responsibilities
• Compiling learning journeys consisting of observations and assessments to support children within their learning and development.
• To follow our child-centered approach and plan an exciting, enabling environment led by the children's interests.
• To be a key worker to a group of children and build up a strong rapport with parents and carers.
• To work as a team to ensure the highest of standards are maintained in the care of all of the children at our setting. This involves carrying out peer observations as a means of reflection.
• To understand and implement our safeguarding policies and always uphold them to maintain our safe environment.

We are looking for someone with a love for early years. We want someone who is passionate about their work and the experiences they provide for the children. You will be fully guided and supported by our experienced management team and we welcome new ideas and initiatives from all new employees.
