Job description

Role Title: Nursery Practitioner / QTS
Reports To: Senior staff & Management

Role Purpose:
To provide a professional stimulating environment in which children develop and grow.
But also, to work as part of the team to be the image for Fount Nursery.

Accountabilities Key Activities
• To contribute and maintain the creation of the environment to aid in the well-being and stimulation of the children attending the nursery.
• To take responsibility alongside the management team for the safety, security and wellbeing for all children, staff and visitors at all times.
• To be a role model and to be able to showcase high quality and professional practice.
• To be a good role model to all children.
• To carry out daily activities with children to help promote their development.
• To embrace, understand the role you play as part of the team to provide high levels of care and education as well us upholding the standards at all times.
• To contribute to the observation and assessment of the children's developmental stages, recording this in the correct way on the relevant documents.
• To be involved in team planning of appropriate activities to ensure that the children's developmental needs are met but also to carry out key worker planning to contribute to individual children's next steps.

• To attend out of working hours activities, when required to by management, to include training, staff meetings, parents' evenings and special events.
• To work as part of the larger nursery team, assisting and supporting colleagues, treating each other with respect to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
• To support the management team in supporting the nursery to maintain 'Outstanding'.
• To be a key worker, carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families.
• To respect and work with the room leaders within your room.
