EARLY YEARS TEACHER

We are looking for an Early Years Teacher who is professional, passionate and is able to work as part of the staff team to build on the vision to provide superior exemplary childcare in order to maximise the outcomes for the children.

The nursery occupies a traditional detached property which has been specifically adapted to nursery care. The rooms are of a good size but retain their homely feel which the children really love.

Babies and toddlers use rooms on the ground floor with a large conservatory. The older children have a variety of rooms on the first floor, all the rooms in the nursery are light and airy and provide a wide range of high quality resources for the children's learning and play.

The garden has a variety of areas including climbing frames, digging areas, playhouses, vegetable garden, sand box and bicycle paths. The garden is also used for creative painting, story time and picnics in the summer.

Key responsibilities for the Early Years Teacher would be:
•Responsible for the development and daily management of the teaching practice at the nursery & pre-school. You will provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and their policies and procedures
•Ensuring a high standard of quality, safe, interesting and stimulating environment for children within group rooms
•Key person for a designated group of children, in addition, to have an overall duty of care to all children within the nursery and establish and develop positive relationships with parents and colleagues
•As an Early Years Teacher you would be required to complete all required planning and record keeping in line with their policies and procedures and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times through adherence to their safe working systems
•Responsible for assessing, recording and reporting on the development progress and attainments of the children to the Manager

The skills set & experience for an Early Years Teacher:
•Qualifications - NNEB, BTEC, NVQ 3, or equivalent childcare qualification
•Relevant Teaching Degree with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
•Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
•Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS Framework
