About the Setting
This is a charming, boutique-style nursery located in the heart of Stanford, set on one of its quaint lanes. The setting caters for children aged 3 months to 5 years and prides itself on offering a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment. With a well-established and stable team of around 20 staff, the nursery has built a strong foundation and a positive culture. It also offers a beautiful forest school provision, giving children unique outdoor learning experiences. Rated “Good” by Ofsted in July last year, the nursery is now looking for a strong manager to refresh and further develop the setting. They are open to the possibility of a temp-to-perm manager.

Requirements Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 or willingness to work towards highly desirable) SENCO qualification or experience preferred Strong leadership and people management skills Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a large setting or nursery chain, or experience driving cultural change within a team Solid knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements Passion for delivering high-quality childcare and early education
Responsibilities Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the nursery Support, motivate, and develop a team of approximately 20 staff Drive improvements and refresh the nursery’s culture and practices Ensure high standards of care, education, and safeguarding Maintain compliance with EYFS and Ofsted standards Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community Oversee staffing, ratios, and operational efficiency Support continuous improvement following the recent Ofsted inspection
