Job Description

  • Location: Edenbridge (TN8)
    Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
    Salary: Up to £15 per hour (DOE)


    About the Setting:
    This nursery is a warm, nurturing setting dedicated to providing high-quality care and early years education. We create a safe, stimulating environment where children can grow in confidence and develop key skills in preparation for school. We are looking for a confident and experienced Room Leader (Level 3) to join our friendly and supportive team, leading a room and ensuring outstanding care and learning experiences for all children. Due to the location, this role is best suited to a driver.

    What We Need From You:

    Level 3 qualification in Childcare (essential)
    Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
    Experience leading a room or taking on senior responsibilities
    Strong knowledge of child development and EYFS
    Ability to build strong relationships with parents/carers
    Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
    Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach

    Your Duties Will Include:
    Leading and managing a room, supporting and guiding team members
    Acting as a key person for a group of children
    Planning and delivering engaging EYFS-based activities
    Monitoring children’s learning, development, and wellbeing
    Ensuring safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare standards are consistently met
    Building strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and professionals
    Overseeing observations, assessments, and tracking of children’s progress
