The family are looking for someone who is proactive, flexible, and comfortable with the natural ebb and flow of a busy family schedule. While there may be quiet periods, this is a role built on mutual respect and give-and-take—fair pay, autonomy, living in a great city, and plenty of time off, in return for reliability, flexibility and initiative. Given the age of the children, other than light house duties linked to children and perhaps the odd dog walk, recognising that there is less to do during term time during the day.
