Job Description

  • Full-Time Nanny/Housekeeper – _Giffnock, G46
    Start Date: July 2025
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 30-40hrs per week (TBC; can be flexible)
    Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience

    Our clients are a warm and welcoming family based in Giffnock (G46) seeking a caring, experienced, and reliable full-time nanny housekeeper to provide support to the mother around the house and with the babies, who will be seven months old when the role starts. In due course when the mother returns to work, the nanny will be expected to take on more of the care for the twins.

    Key Responsibilities
    Housekeeping Duties:
    • Keeping children's bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
    • Laundry and ironing for babies’ clothes
    • Changing bed linens and managing wardrobe organization for babies
    • Keeping kitchen and common areas clean
    Nanny Duties:
    • Help with establishing and keeping feeding/nap schedule
    • Preparing meals, snacks and feeding the babies
    • Help with dressing, bathing, and changing babies
    • Engaging with the children in a fun and educational way
    • Engaging the children in interactive play, and during outdoor outings such as visits to the park, museums, play groups
    • Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the children
    • Monitor and support developmental milestones
    • Bathing and bedtime assistance when required (with prior agreement)
    • Occasional babysitting (with prior agreement)

    Ideal candidate
    Experience:
    o Previous experience working as a Housekeeper/Nanny
    o Proven experience caring for infants and ideally with twins or multiple young children simultaneously
    Knowledge:
    o Strong understanding of early childhood development and infant routines
    o Able to proactively prepare nutritiously balanced meals for the babies & feed them safely
    • Personality:
    o Calm, patient gentle and confident
    o Willing to assist with different tasks when required
    Skills:
    o Organised
    o Able to manage time effectively and take initiative around the house and towards the babies
    o Excellent communication skills
