Position Overview A loving and reliable Sole Charge Nanny is sought to care for two boys aged 6 and 4 in Lanark. The role requires a professional who is confident taking full responsibility for the children’s routines, school and nursery schedules, and daily activities. The family is looking for someone warm, dependable, and highly organised, who can balance engaging childcare with light household support.
Key Responsibilities • Provide attentive personal care for both children, including morning and bedtime routines. • Carry out school and nursery drop-offs/pick-ups. • Organise and supervise afterschool activities, playdates, and outings. • Prepare and cook healthy meals and snacks. • Support the children with homework, reading, and creative play. • Keep children’s bedrooms, play areas, and belongings tidy and well organised. • Undertake light household tasks relating to the children. • Communicate effectively with parents to ensure consistency in routines and care.
Candidate Requirements • Proven experience as a Sole Charge Nanny or in a similar childcare role. • Warm, nurturing, and patient personality, with genuine enthusiasm for working with children. • Excellent organisational and time-management skills. • Driver with own car – essential for school runs and activities. • Relevant childcare qualifications or training (preferred but not essential). • Ability to work flexibly on a rolling rota.
