What You Will Do: This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) and you will be paid the apprenticeship salary rate of £7.55 per hour. You will learn and train within the nursery environment and your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the delivery of high-quality care, learning and play
Working as part of a friendly and collaborative team
Developing your knowledge of child development and early years theory
Learning how to design and deliver engaging learning experiences
Supporting children’s individual care and learning needs
Understanding and applying Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC)
Gaining knowledge of early learning and childcare frameworks
Building essential care and pedagogical skills
Contributing to the daily running of the nursery
Training & Qualification Support Alongside your practical experience, you will be fully supported through your qualification by the Tinies Glasgow Training Centre (SQA accredited). Support includes:
Regular meetings with your allocated SVQ assessor
Ongoing support via phone, email and online
Monthly in-person training sessions
Guidance on written work to support your competency evidence
