    Are you an experienced early years practitioner ready to step into a leadership role? Our client is looking for a dedicated Third in Charge/Room Leader to support their team and help shape a nurturing, stimulating environment where children can truly thrive.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s confident in leading a team, passionate about early years education, and ready to make a real impact every day.

    Salary: £26,582 gross per annum 
    Holiday: 31 days per annum 

    What You'll Be Doing:

    Leadership & Management

    Support the Nursery Manager and Deputy in the smooth day-to-day running of the setting.

    Step up as Deputy Manager when required.

    Lead by example—supporting staff development, mentoring new team members, and ensuring high standards across the board.

    Help implement and uphold EYFS, safeguarding, and nursery policies.

    Maintain GDPR compliance and handle sensitive information with care.

    Room Leadership

    Take ownership of your room’s planning, teaching, and assessment in line with EYFS.

    Act as a key person and support others in building strong bonds with children and families.

    Use observations and data to track progress and close learning gaps.

    Create a warm, inspiring, and well-organised learning environment.

    Day-to-Day Operations

    Ensure hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are always top-notch.

    Record and report any incidents accurately and promptly.

    Support mealtimes with a focus on independence and self-help skills.

    Work alongside the management team to solve daily challenges calmly and effectively.

    Teamwork & Communication

    Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and outside agencies.

    Take part in team meetings, training, and supervisions.

    Contribute ideas to improve practice and help shape our ongoing nursery development.

    Foster a supportive, inclusive team environment where everyone feels valued.
