Special Needs Nanny
A family are seeking a bubbly male or female nanny to help care for their 13 year old son with complex special needs. There are a variety of shifts available and they can be done by 1 person or the family are happy to have a team of people to provide the support.Shifts available:
* Monday to Thursday 0730 - 0930
* Monday to Thursday 4.45pm - 6.45pm
* Fridays are not currently required but can be added if someone needs the work
* 3 days during the school holidays
* The family can also extend the role so that someone is working 24 hours Monday to Thursday and they can carry out errands and extra jobs whilst their son is at school
Duties Include:
* Morning - get the boy ready for school, fed and driving him to school. The family have an adapted car that takes a wheelchair and that you will be able to drive
* Afternoon - meeting the son at home as he is returned from school transport. Feeding him a blended meal, personal care and bathing
* If during the school holidays there is also the option to take him out for the day
The nanny will be someone who has buckets of patience and understanding and is happy to sing, especially nursery rhymes! The boy has limited mobility and is non-verbal. He needs 1:1 care all the time and requires personal care. The family have all the specialised equipment at home to help with nappy changing, feeding and bathing. You will need to be a driver to drive the family car - you will not need to use your own car for the role.
