We are looking for a Childcare Manager to run our successful and well-established child-centred Pre-School. If you are passionate about shaping the future of young minds and creating a nurturing environment and providing exceptional care and education to our community’s children, we would love to hear from you!
Our ideal candidate will be able to enthusiastically lead and motivate the Kidzone team, whilst delivering high quality play opportunities for all our children in a safe, supportive and caring environment. This is a unique opportunity to work within a well-established busy setting.
About you:
We will be shortlisting on the following criteria so please use the supporting statement to evidence how you meet these:
Childcare qualification or NVQ in Play work (Level 3) or above;
Previous experience of caring for, or working with, children aged 0-12;
Good knowledge and understanding of the Playwork Principles and Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and Ofsted welfare requirements;
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to persuade, influence and when appropriate, challenge with tact and diplomacy;
Excellent administration, organisational and record-keeping skills, and ability to write in a clear, concise and professional manner;
Understanding of principles of confidentiality and equal opportunities;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with colleagues, parents, carers and children;
A positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through teamwork and training opportunities;
Sound knowledge of safeguarding and welfare requirements, as well as processes for reporting;
Ability to work as a member of a professional team to meet shared objectives;
Experience of using MS Office packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
