Job Purpose:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Early Years Educator to join our dedicated team. As a Lead Early Years Educator, you will be a role model for your colleagues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, inclusive early years education and care. You will play a crucial role in providing creative and engaging learning opportunities for children while supporting the management team to maintain a safe and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, creative, and high-quality learning opportunities for children.
- Model sensitive and responsive interactions, guiding the team to extend children’s learning and development.
- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that fosters children’s development.
- Work collaboratively with the management team to deliver high-quality care and education in line with the setting’s policies and procedures.
- Take responsibility for curriculum planning within the setting, ensuring the needs of all children are met in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Ensuring continuity of high standards and operations.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
- Post-qualification experience in early education and childcare.
- A strong understanding of child development, children’s needs, and the ability to plan and implement the curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Knowledge of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice, safeguarding procedures, and equality and diversity considerations.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate leadership skills to support the development of other staff.
Additional Requirements:
- You will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check (if your current certificate is not subscribed to the update service).
