We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the daily operations of our childcare Nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and working with children. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a nurturing environment where children's development and well-being are prioritised. Applicants should demonstrate excellent communication skills in English and hold relevant childcare or nursery experience. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate organisational needs.
Duties
Assist the Manager in overseeing daily centre operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organisational policies
Support the planning and implementation of educational programmes aligned with early childhood development principles
Supervise staff and volunteers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children aged from infancy to preschool age
Engage with parents and carers to communicate children's progress and address any concerns effectively
Coordinate activities, outings, and events that promote learning and socialisation among children
Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times within the centre
Support recruitment, training, and development of nursery staff to uphold high-quality childcare services
What We’re Looking For:
Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
Significant experience working in early years, including leadership or supervisory experience
Experience participating in a regulatory inspection, leading to a “Good” or “Outstanding” outcome
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety in early years
Excellent communication, organisational, and team leadership skills
Passion for providing high-quality childcare and education
Experience supporting children with SEND
Knowledge of nursery management systems
