    About the Role

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our Nursery. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring, warm, and enthusiastic individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for early years education.

    You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education are consistently delivered. You’ll inspire and motivate a team, maintain a safe, nurturing environment, and work closely with parents, carers, and external stakeholders to provide an outstanding nursery experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    Create and maintain a secure, supportive environment where children can thrive and develop.

    Lead the nursery team to deliver high-quality care and early education.

    Ensure all policies, procedures, and statutory requirements (including Ofsted and local authority regulations) are met.

    Manage nursery staffing, including rotas and ratios, to ensure optimal operation.

    Promote safeguarding practices and uphold the highest standards of professional integrity.

    Foster strong relationships with parents/carers through daily communication and regular progress reviews.

    Continuously review and develop operational procedures to maintain or improve the nursery’s Ofsted rating.

    Collaborate with industry-leading nurseries and early years organisations to enhance practice.

    Manage nursery budgets in partnership with the finance team, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability.

    Person Specification

    Essential Qualifications & Experience

    NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years/Education.

    Level 3 Safeguarding qualification.

    Paediatric First Aid certification.

    Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.

    At least 2 years’ experience in an Early Years setting.

    Proven experience of effectively safeguarding children.

    Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in early years settings.
