Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and supporting children’s early development? We're looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner (Level 3) to join our dedicated nursery team, working with children aged 0–5 years in a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high standards of learning, development, and care following the EYFS framework
Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children
Act as a Key Worker for designated children (permanent staff only)
Plan, observe, and assess children's development in line with EYFS learning outcomes
Build strong relationships with parents/carers and encourage active engagement
Support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) alongside the SENCO
Maintain up-to-date and accurate records to meet Ofsted and safeguarding requirements
Promote GDPR best practices in daily activities and communication
What We’re Looking For:
Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (essential)
Experience working with children aged 0–5 in a nursery/preschool setting
Knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding procedures, and child development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Understanding of Health & Safety, GDPR, and SEND procedures
A commitment to self-development and willingness to undertake all mandatory training
Flexibility, professionalism, and a team-player attitude
Additional Information:
This role is based on a military base – candidates must be able to follow all base procedures
Enhanced DBS check is required (cost reimbursed), and you must join the DBS Update Service
Uniform (branded shirt/tunic) will be provided
Participation in fundraising and marketing activities may be required
Occasional mentoring of apprentices or students
